Pastoral Transition Announcement

At a Family Meeting on August 28, 2016, the pastoral team of Grace City Church of the Northeast announced how God has led to send Ian & Rachel McConnell along with Greg & Michelle Dietrich to serve the Sovereign Grace congregation of Covenant Community Church in West Philadelphia. They will be sent from GCC of the Northeast on October 9, 2016.

Greg presently serves as the Pastor for Administration and Operations. Ian has served as the Pastor for Preaching and Vision for the past 11 years and upon his transition, Rob Chisholm will become the new Lead Pastor. Rob has served as Pastor for Music and Spiritual Formation at Grace City Church of the Northeast since 2007.

A follow-up Family Meeting for questions and extended discussion has been scheduled for Sunday, September 11 at 6 pm. If you have questions you would like answered; please feel free to send them to info@gracecityphilly.com.

COLLECTIVE PICNIC :: THIS SATURDAY

Plan to attend the Collective Picnic on this Saturday at the Beulah Land Swim Club. We have the grounds from 11 AM to 6 PM. The church will provide drinks and charcoal for the grills, you provide your own food and bring any yard games you would like to play. There is a great pool, so come prepared to get wet! MARRIAGE SEMINAR :: SEPTEMBER 24–25

Join us September 24-25, 2016 for a marriage seminar with Tim & Gayline Shorey, “Enduring Love: Marriages that Make it by the Power of the Gospel.” Saturday’s sessions will start at 9 am and will finish at 3 pm. Sunday’s session will take place in our normal Sunday morning gathering time, starting at 10 am. There is no cost for this event, however, registration is required as breakfast & lunch will be provided on Saturday. Childcare will not be available on Saturday, but normal children’s classes will be available on Sunday. You must register no later than September 16, 2016, to attend Saturday’s sessions. STORK SUNDAY :: JULY 10

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

This year at Grace City Church of the Northeast we will be having a TIME TRAVEL THEMED Vacation Bible School! Each day the kids will meet a crazy cast of characters and learn that GOD COMES THROUGH just when we need Him to—RIGHT ON TIME.

Save the dates of July 11-15, so your kids can enjoy the GAMES, SNACKS, COSTUMES AND COMPETITIONS. Oh, and spread the word, so all your children’s friends can join the journey through time!
