CROSS Conference Simulcast

On February 27, thousands of people will gather around the world for the 2015 CROSS Conference. CROSS exists to mobilize students for the most dangerous and loving cause in the universe: rescuing people from eternal suffering and bringing them into the everlasting joy of friendship with Jesus.

This year’s CROSS Conference isn’t your traditional conference; it’s being simulcast around the world. Simulcast technology allows significantly more people to participate, which is why we’ll be hosting this at Grace City Church.

Join us for FREE at our Ashton Road building on February 27, 7pm to midnight, for this simulcast event as we consider why we are undaunted by the darkness—near and far—given the certain victory we have in King Jesus.

It will be five hours of drinking from a fire hydrant on world missions with full-length messages from John Piper & David Platt and shorter talks from Kevin DeYoung, Mack Stiles, & Thabiti Anyabwile. Matt Boswell will be leading in worship through song as well. The conference is aimed at college students and young adults. For more information on CROSS, check out their website.

Grace Happenings || February 15th-21st

Breaking Down the Barriers
Every Sunday we have a large crew serving our children that are unable to listen to the sermon. We want to say thank you for serving! We also want to make it as easy as possible for you to listen to the sermon before next Sunday by providing this link to Sunday’s sermon.

Grace Happenings

FOUNDATIONS-anncGrace City Foundations is a series of courses designed to ground the church family in our core values. At Grace City, we are reformed, gospel-centered, continuationist, complementarian, and missional. We desire to live according to God’s design as a community on mission with the good news about Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit, trusting God to save his people from sin for his fame and the renewal of our city. Our second course, which will continue over the next three Sundays at 6:30pm at the Ashton Rd. building, is covering what we mean we say we are gospel-centered at Grace City.

Childrens Workers MeetingAll people who serve in either of the nurseries or in the Grace4Kids classes, during VBS, or on the hallway security team are asked to attend a meeting on either this Sunday February 22nd or March 1st concerning updated mandates by the state of Pennsylvania regarding those who volunteer in areas where children are present. Please plan on sticking around right after one of these Sunday Gatherings to hear from Brad Steiner, Grace City’s Pastor for Children’s Ministry.

Children’s Choirs

We are excited that two new children’s choirs are being formed and will start practicing on February 22nd with their first performances taking place on Easter Sunday. The first choir will consist of the children in the 3-5 yr old Grace4Kids class and will practice during the normal classroom time on Sunday mornings during the entire year. The other group will be for ages 6-12. This group will have a 20-25 minute practice right at the end of our gatherings for approximately 6 weeks leading up to a performance. If you have any questions, please email info@gracecityphilly.com.

GCC Collective
Join us Sunday March 15th at 6pm at the Ashton Road building as the congregations of Grace City Church come together for a night of praise, prayer, & prophetic ministry.

PRAISE. We will be celebrating what God has recently been doing through the renewing power of the gospel.
PRAYER. We will be asking God the Father to do much more for his fame and the renewal of the city.
PROPHECY. We will be pursuing God’s Spirit to strengthen & equip us for our united mission as a church family.
