We are looking forward to our annual Vision Sunday on January 25th, as well as our next Family Meeting which will take place that night at 6:30pm at the Ashton Rd. building. Both our Sunday gathering and the Family Meeting will be opportunities for the pastoral team to give updates on what God has been doing in our midst and communicating vision for the future. The meeting will also have a 2014 year end financial report. Sunday night’s meeting is especially for members, but anyone who is connected to the Northeast congregation is welcome to attend.

2014 Giving & 2015 Giving Envelopes

As 2014 wraps up, we are very grateful for God’s provision and your sacrificial giving for the spreading of the gospel through the congregations of Grace City. If you weren’t able to attend our last Sunday Gathering of 2014 and would like to have a financial gift count toward the 2014 tax year, please feel free to mail it to Grace City Church, 8950 Ashton Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19136. To be counted toward 2014, the envelope will need to be postmarked by December 31st. For those of you who have a giving number at Grace City and have been using envelopes over the course of the year, you can expect your 2014 Giving Statement to be ready by Sunday January 25th.

We also wanted to let you know that 2015 giving envelopes have arrived and are available at the Information and Resource table on Sundays. These envelopes are used for helping provide a giving statement at the end of the year for tax purposes. If you would like a set of envelopes for 2015 and have never received a giving number at Grace City, please see Richie Frank at the Information and Resource table during half time or after one of our upcoming gatherings.

Lambie Funeral Home, at the corner of Rowland and Rhawn Avenues, is hosting a live nativity this Saturday from 4:00-6:00pm. We would encourage to take advantage of this great opportunity for parents to have fun teaching moments with your kids as you celebrate the birth of our savior.

Christmas Resources
Sovereign Grace Music has released a great new Christmas album entitled “Prepare Him Room”. This album contains a couple of songs that we will be singing on upcoming Sundays as well as other traditional arrangements and new songs. You can find this album on sale here.

For families, we would also highly recommend New Growth Press’ family devotional with the same title as the album. Created by Covenant Fellowship pastor Marty Machowski, “Prepare Him Room” is a resource that talks about the coming of Jesus through the eyes of the prophets and also has an original Christmas story. It is great for kids and partners with the album to help prepare our families during the Christmas season. You can find the devotional on Amazon or here at newgrowthpress.com. Our Grace4Kids classes have started using a “Prepare Him Room” curriculum to cover the four Sundays of Advent.

Prepare Him Room
Join us for our upcoming Christmas Gatherings. We will be having our annual Christmas Sunday Gathering at our normal morning time on December 21st. We will then be gathering at the Ashton Rd. building on Christmas Eve at 7:00pm to sing and read scripture as we celebrate Jesus’ birth. Please take invitations on upcoming Sundays to invite your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.

This past Sunday, we had a Northeast congregation Family Meeting after our gathering. We know that there are many of you who were unable to stick around for the meeting. Because of this, we are putting together a summary of the meeting that will be sent out in an email later in the week.

Survey

One important part of the meeting was a brief survey that we passed out to get feedback concerning our current meeting space at Lincoln HS. If you did not have a chance to fill out a survey on Sunday, please click this link to participate.
