ESL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We have an ESL opportunity for you to help reach the nations right here in Northeast Philly! GROW Northeast is an organization that serves our growing international community through a fun and effective ESL program for adults, helping our neighbors and friends to become more proficient in the English language and be prepared for U.S. citizenship. There are now two sites in Northeast Philly, one in Mayfair at Northeast Community Church and one in Fox Chase at Bethany Baptist Church. We have had several people from our church help with ESL classes through GROW over the past few years, and they need more volunteer teachers, teacher assistants, and children’s workers at the Mayfair Site for this coming semester. There are classes on Monday and Wednesday nights, as well as Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. See Sue DeHart on an upcoming Sunday or email her at grownortheast@gmail.com if you’re interested in volunteering or want to learn more.
